Document Summary

Atrial flutter and fibrillation: rapid electrical activity. In atria, flutters and fibrillations are still coordinated but the isoelectric interval between t and p waves disappears. Just a bunch of waves between the qrs complexes: not an immediate problem but will want to fix eventually. In normal cells, the current divides into two and go in opposite directions, preventing the current from circling. In hearts experiencing ventricular fibrillations, one of the sides as a unidirectional block so when the currents first divide, one side doesn"t actually get through and depolarize those cells. Bundle of kent: bundle of kent is between the atria and ventricles and in wolff- Deviation to left: similar reasons as deviation to right except causes by diseases like hypertension, aortic stenosis and ischemic heart disease, due to trying to make up for difficulties pumping blood to systemic circulation. Overview of cardiac cycle: there are 4 phases to the cardiac cycle, atrial contraction and ventricular filling.
