The sex that limits the other sex which in most case is the females that don"t copulate all the time . Mating systems: how the sexes associate for breeding (defined broadly) In different species, there are different mating systems. Monogamy: one male sticks with one females, usually within one breeding season or sometimes mating for life / across many breeding seasons, e. g. Polygyny: each male can possibly mate with many female.
