BIOD48H3 Lecture Notes - Lecture 4: Supercilium, Northern Waterthrush, Common Yellowthroat
Document Summary
Song: before it does its song there is always one note before it sings. There is a variation in how blue-ish/grey they are. It is way more red than the swainson. Its spots are way more intense than the other thrushes. Song: can sound like a cat but also a crow. Might look like the thrushes but it has a larger tail and bill. Only the short ones not the long phrases. Look for the red tips on the wings. Looks like a thrush but is a warbler. Orange crown patch but it can be hard to see. All grey on the back and has a fancy black necklace. Not the same every time they sing it. The chorri part might song different each time. Has a black mask with a white stripe @ the top. Blue-grey head but it doesn"t go down the throat like the mourning warbler.
