Aphrodite and weddings: once she is crafted into the pantheons, she becomes the goddess of weddings. She is associated with wildness (she protects the animals) She is similar to cybele who is also the protector of animals. Her temple is found in ehpesus (around the birth of alexander the great and rebuilt during his lifetime) She is the goddess of pre pubertal girls. Her festival is called arcteia in which the girls would dress and dance like the bear.
