How the universe works = tries to explain how the system of god works in relation with humans. Homer: thought zeus was the oldest olympian and that aphrodite was zeus"s daughter. Hesiod: thought zeus was the youngest and that aphrodite was the result of cronos"s balls. Some might be coming up later and how do they come up. Bunch of different courses that revolve around the same myth do not mention the same thing. Muses= daughters of memory contradicts other versions. He calls attention to his version because he knows it is different and new compared to the other versions. He explains that he has a relationship with the muses they breathed into me that were aforetime . Uses things and tries to relate abstractions (i. e. sleep)
