Document Summary

(cid:728)(cid:729). (cid:727) hamlet p1rt (cid:729) & ex1m prep. This distracted globe - the psyche of hamlet. The stage of the globe theatre - shakespeare attempting to show interior thought on the stage. The whole world - how shakespeare shows the outside world in the play; a play is a mirror thrown up against nature/the world. Transition between life and death is quite porous and penetrable - hamlet"s father returns as a ghost. Hamlet at first sees him in his mind"s eye and then physically sees him as a spirit. Vladimir vysotsky"s portrayal of hamlet"s monologue (1970) The curtain moves as hamlet moves - it portrays the sea of black that hamlet is considering to either drown in or fight against. Curtain also sweeps characters onto and off the stage - like the hand of fate it moves people around while they are powerless to move against.
