1. i. • Pesticides are commonly used to maximize crop yield and improve the longevity of plants. Purchasing fruits and vegetables from large grocery stores most likely have pesticide residue on them, and thus gets in to our bodies; accumulating over time if fat soluble. Pesticides can be chlorinated hydrocarbons, organophosphates, or carbamates, and are all very detrimental to human health.
