Le future proche: aller + infinitif
o Describes events/actions that are going to take place in the near future, and
are fairly certain
o Formed with subj. pronoun + aller + infinitive
o E.g. Je vais voyager (I am going to travel)
o In negative sentences, ne…. pas goes around aller
o E.g. Je ne vais pas travailler (I am not going to work)

o Use chez to indicate where one is or where one is going
o E.g.
o Nous allons chez un copain. (We are going to a friend’s (place).)
o Used to refer to someone’s home, residence, place of work
o Chez +noun (person)
o E.g. chez des copains
o Chez + stressed pronoun
o E.g. chez elle, chez eux, chez lui
o In questions, interrogative expression chez qui is used
o E.g. Chez qui est-ce que vous allez? (To whose place are you
going?)
