Urbanization: generally refers to the clustering of population in increasing large, dense, and diverse, cities over time. Increasing population: the growth in the number of people living within a given urban area. Increasing density: the growth of population leading to a rise in the number of people living per km2. Increasing diversity: e. g. of economic sectors, of urban amenities like cultural institution or of people with different backgrounds. A rise in urban birth rates and/ or. A decline in death rates within the city. Driving emanating from outside cities (i. e. migration): Increase in jobs to accommodate the new demand. There will be more waste and population. Potential increase in sewage infrastructure, could lead to displacement. High demand for housing, there could be potential shortages. Shortages result in increased prices for housing.
