Intergenerational equity: not fair for us to life extremely good lifestyles but the lifestyles for the future is horrible. Intra-generation equilty: growth of population of very poor was causing desertification. They were burning wood to cook with: everyone is moving out of those inner cities. Transfrontier equity: the poor places that don"t have the resources to manage their environment properly. Causing instability: it is much easier to displace our enviro burdens in poor countries that aren"t developed enough to manage it. Wheeler: everything you do should be improving the society and not making it worse, his definition says that you can make small changes to eventually reach sustainable living instead of suddenly becoming sustainable b/c that"s kinda impossible. We have to make our cities more efficient. Ensuring that waste is not being sent to far off places: waste is one of the largest issues of transfontier equity.
