Description
HISA04 Nov. 14, 2012 Olaudah was taken as a slave 4 times and was kidnapped 12 times while he was still in Africa. While in Africa, he was treated more poorly by his masters than he was a slave in Europe and America.  This shows the amount of problems the slave trade caused in Africa because of the profits that came of slaving. Olaudah’s family owned slaves so he was used to slaves in his everyday life. Amistad This occurred in the 19 century while a slave transport ship was travelling from Africa to Cuba. The slaves rebelled and overtook the ship. They were later tried in the United States. “The Kuleshov Effect” The idea that significance arises from the combination of images, not just the characteristics of the images themselves.
