Public sector governmental and government funded organizations and services (e. g. : universities, military, roads) Private sector not controlled by governments or state agencies, usually for-profit (e. g. : multinational corporations) Non-governmental organization (ngo; also civil society organization) organization that is neither governmental nor for-profit. 3 tiers of medical specialization: primary care providers you see. Refers to health care (hc) you receive from the first hc. Sees people of all ages, socio-economic strata, etc. Refers to consultants that specialize in a particular area. Patients are referred for secondary care by their primary care. Care based in specialised facilities for specific purposes. Patient would be referred by primary or secondary physician. : neurosurgery, cancer care, camh, organ transplantation: secondary care physicians, tertiary care etc. Health equity people"s needs guide the distribution of opportunities for well-being . Health inequity a difference or disparity in health outcomes that is systematic, avoidable, and unjust.
