The industrial revolution represents a great step forward in so many ways, improved technology, etc. Cholera"s first home was the mouth of the ganges where it live for centuries before british colonization and increased trade flushed the disease across india and up into southern russia. When russian armies invaded poland, warsaw (the capital and largest city of poland) was starved into submission and an epidemic of cholera engulf which then spread to europe. The poor was blamed for their dirtiness to cause cholera. V. chorea was discovered in oysters in us. Cholera cannot be eradicated, we have to learn to live with it.
