Autocrines are chemicals that excerpt effects on the same cells that secrete them. Paracines are chemicals that affect nearby cells (winthin same tissue) but not the cells that have secreted them. Neurotransmitters are chemicals released from neutrons which in uence nearby target cells (nerves, muscles, glands) Alter plasma membrane permeability and/or membrane potential by opening or closing ion channels. Anatomy is the study of external and internal structures and the physical relationships between body parts. Microscopic anatomy considers structures that cannot be seen without magni cation. the boundaries of this ne anatomy are established by limits of the equipment.
