Still Malaria is the cause behind roman fever prevelant in society They thought that malaria , was because of bad air Snail feverblood fluke diseaseendemic hematuriaschitosomiasis Epidemic of 5-8 years Transmission stages : microscopic eggs , It reduced life expectancy adult worms live in blood vessels of humans , clog them and cause harm to humans. (Through the skin) The Antonine Plague In terms of exposure , it occurred in Europe 61-62 1799-1801. Named after Roman Emperor (166 AD) Estimated 200 million people get effected , Thirst , Diarreah , and 1 million deaths (occurs wherever there is contaminated water) First record of small pox (but not sure ) Plague Of Athens 2000 deaths a day from small pox in Rome. (very contagious ) Refer to p 53-56 The Cyprian Plague Rested heavily on trees in wine 62-64 Greek ; they took on shipping and Huge impact on human 250 AD commercial transactions ; navy and ships.
