Get power to control exercise influence over others & you"re incontrol: you dictate to others. In uni, power is sort of irrelevant, but in organization, it"s a political venue: ppl competing with others for status, stature etc. Legitimate you are given, not earned , only one. Reward- rewards that you can give others in order to elevate their stauts, increase their visibility, financial anything you can do for tohers to make them look good: entry praise ppl, Coercive how you can manupilate others , can you punish. Expert- know what you"re talking about: entry ppl coming to you & asking. Only 2 are given sergent has legitimate & coercive over you. Entry level or ceo you can have 3 of them: substance referent respect, expert know what youre doing, team cheerleader reward power.
