More than 70% canadian workforce is in services: this shift means that many workers must be retrained for new, more challenging jobs. As a business grows more work needs to be done. For example, if you"re running a math tutoring business, after the first year you might take on an employee to help you with tutoring students. Before you approach any friends that might be interested you would have to sit down and write a job analysis. Job specification - knowledge, education, experience and characteristic that are essential to the individual who will be performing a job. Example: a job specification for a position as a chemistry tutor: Knowledge: must be proficient in all aspects of organic and inorganic chemistry. Education: must have completed ontario oac with grade 90% or better, etc.
