Instrumental learning outcome is the same thing as us--> just diff terminology. S8 positive reinforcement: increases probability of that response in future. Punishment: punishment reduces response rate; when punished it reduces likelihod of you doing that response (ex. disciplining kids); decrease probability of that behaviour hapening in the future reinforcement do something to self to avoid hearing that noise. Ex. doing an exam, if you want to well on the exam (you work hard for an - exam to do well on it)- this is positive reinforecement.
