Demands for recognition: parents love their children, and often think their kids to be really great, beautiful, smart, etc. But something it goes beyond a simple demand and becomes a need: vulnerability: we feel wounded when others don"t satisfy this need. So how can we operate in a world where people may not satisfy our need for recognition: vanity: there are two different types- cold, which is the nose in air indifference type of vanity.
