Document Summary

He continues by saying that these two truths are rather so clear and obvious, that it cannot be possible for them to be questioned or suspected of any uncertainty or doubt. The reason as to why he states this is because in the earlier passages, he is questioning himself and he is wondering whether if he is dreaming or if this is the reality. He is wondering in regards to how can one know the truth or know that certain things that one is seeing are in fact real and not just part of a dream. Or whether he is being deceived or not, and whether everything he knows is just a big lie. In the second part of the passage, descartes states that he believes that he is created by an all mighty god.
