Outline the argument against the existence of god based upon evil. If god is omniscient, he knows if there is evil. If god is omnipotent, he can eliminate what he abhors. Therefore there is no evil if god exists. Prudential reason for belief are reasons that are based on some type of benefit for the person, for example money. 66% (4/6) x 1. 20 = 80% (expected utility) vs. 33% (2/6) x 1. 50 = 49. 50% (expected utility: try to explain clifford"s objection against pascal"s (and james"s) argument. The soul improving evil is that some bad things make people better. Such as having to let a baby fall for it to learn to walk. A world in which there are free beings is better than a world full of robots. One reply is to reduce natural evil to willed evil. This means to invoke the minions of satan.
