How can we know things about minds? (knowing minds) How do i know about other people"s minds? (their facial expression, their words, observation) Do things other than humans have minds? (non-human minds) A set of statements presented to give reason to believe another statement. Premises are put forth in support of a conclusion. Trying to convince you of something by appealing to reasons. Good > valid arguments are ones in which the conclusion follows from the premises; if you accept the premises, you have to accept the conclusion. Bad > invalid arguments are ones in which the premises can be true but the conclusion false. Validity is about structure if you accept the premises, then you have to accept the conclusion.
