Document Summary

Brain has trouble in seeing this at multiple times; brain can only see one thing at a time. We want to organize information to get issues like: what are the things in the environment, who are they, etc. Things we haven"t seen before, we can recognize it. When people started thinking about how brain recognizes things, they were looking for defining features. What are the features that make that thing what it is. Perceived object is used to query memory for similar objects and if most of these objects are a certain thing then the perceived object is recognized as one of those things - fuzzy matches. Recognize : think (bring back a thought), pulling something out of memory and rethinking it again. Recognize things we haven"t seen before and seen something similar we can see what that thing is. Use number of ways and sources to infer depth that fall under two general headlines.
