Moral development happens all throughout your teenage years until the age of 20-25. We must have social bonds, we"re dependent on parents/caregivers. Cross sectional approach: looking at different groups of individuals at different times- finding average human being changes, not quite as scientifically strong as following the same group all the way through. Zygote stage: initial single cell begins cell dividing and differentiating, eventually forming 200 different kinds of cells (blood cells, nerve cells, muscle cells, bone cells, etc) all with the same dna. Embryonic stage: when the heart begins to beat, critical stage with respect to the avoidance of so-called teratogens, cocaine, tobacco, alcohol, and environmental toxins. Also when sexual differentiation happens, importance of androgens and testosterone. Foetal stage: where the bones start to form, and the baby really starts to grow.
