Personality: persons characteristic pattern of thinking, behaving, feeling unique to them and remains relatively stable over time and situations. Two approaches to personality measurement: 1: idiographic approach: focus in creating description of an individual"s unique personality characteristics, 2: nomothetic approach: examine personality in large groups to make generalizations about personality structure. Egg: look at if a certain type of ppl more likely to do a certain behaviour. Key is identifying important personality traits related to whatever you are trying to understand.
