The relevance of emotion: unfortunately us humans are very poor at being rational! Motivation is the drive to behaviour & its hard to understand this theory. His work was done in the context of genetics. During this time, there was a ugenetics, during the nature & nurture, nature was dominant. But he tried to prove that nurture is more important.
