Slide 2: most famous test was the binet test (paper and pencil test) Problem: different linguistic ability: slang, white way of speaking. Test such as the raven"s progressive matrices are test that eliminates the language factor: figure out what belong in the missing quadrant, as you go through the question, it gets more and more complicated. These test are meant to test different groups of people with different ability to comprehend language or other factors. Slide 3: psychology is understanding of human behaviour: react the way we do to different situations. Individual differences on the other hand is more political; why does one person react more differently than another: why certain groups of people is different form certain groups of people. E. g: males vs. females: math ability, compare males and female on their ability. Slide 4: human intelligence is the closest relation to what we have to a human soul.
