Document Summary
Experiments part ii: review: experiment"s are the only way to prove causality in a study, claims that can be med: association claims and frequency claims [done just to show things] In order to make a causal claim, must do proper experiment. In a scientific experiment in a lab for chemistry : not that difficult to do because you can control the factors: create a sterile environment. In a psychology study not that easy: ex in the free hug study, a lot of variables weren"t held constant, the conditions were the same, researchers will come with ways to control variables. If you can do this, have good internal validity: anything that allows another explanation for the results is a threat to internal validity. But other then that everything has to be the same such as clothes, movement etc: then will have good control.
