Two studies were done to support valid causal claims. Some people think the color red for fire trucks, valentines, and fast cars and such. Red can mean danger in many contexts like when a teacher marks something in red for wrong. Wanted to do an experiment to see whether the color red affect people"s performance on academic tasks. Elliot believes that the colour red is very important. Students in school tend to do better when they have approach orientation rather than an avoidance orientation. Approach orientation= when students try to adopt the approach orientation toward an academic task, they are trying to succeed. So they focus on getting questions right, learning something new, seeking challengers and doing their best and trying to do well.
