Capuchin monkey experiments (monkey that likes cucumbers but loves grapes) Equity test- trained monkeys to trade tokens for cucumbers. Experimenter would give 1 token to the monkey. If they give it back experimenter will reward the monkey with a cucumber. Inequity test- same test but with two monkeys. However, one gets a grape for the token and the other one gets a cucumber. This type of behaviour is common among all social animals. Mimicry- adaptive behaviour to mimic other people (smiling/ fear) William james began in the subfield of philosophy (beginning of psychology) mostly theory at that time, he came up with many theories but other people actually tested them.
