Ex. fashion trend (w/o explicit pressure), line test, elevator (all facing a specific direction or doing a specific action) Its mostly you looking around your surroundings and using other people as que to figure what you should be doing. What looked normal before won"t look good now, because people has changed because of changing trends. Its just doing something because someone asked you to its not like obedience it can be anyone that is lower than your status or authority. Obedience: following the demands of someone who is higher in social power than oneself. Why doe people conform: conformity is based on the desire to be accurate. Conform because other people are seen as correct or as having more info.
