Document Summary
How to presence of others affect the wat we think, feel and behave. The goal of most scientific discipline is not just to know but to explain and predict. The goal is social psychology is to predict how is people going to act, how are they going to think. The first research done is giving people mechanical task with people around. It turned out, people were working the mechanic faster and competitively. This is how the presence of other influence people. For example, how would you explain someone who cut you off in traffic. When you do something particular, you look back and ask yourself, why didn"t i do that. Like going to the movie with a group a friends, and you don"t say the movie you want but just go along with the groupyou would go back and ask yourself why you did that. Social psychology: focuses on how social situation can influence the thoughts, feelings, and behaviour.
