Women are more prone but men aren"t likely to seek help they abuse substances more often. Beck anxiety inventory: similar symptoms across disorders. Phobias: phobia- disrupting, fear-mediated avoidance, speci c phobia. Out of proportion to the danger actually posed. Recognized by the sufferer as groundless if there is a lion its okay for us to run and be scared but its not groundless. Unwarranted fears caused by the presence or anticipation of a speci c object. Dsm-5 into 4 sources: blood injection, being in elevators or a plane, animals.
