Dsm-5 requires the presence of 5 of the following symptoms for at least 2 weeks. Depressed mood or loss of interest and pleasure must be one of the 5 symptoms. Sad, depression mood, most of the day, nearly every day. Loss of interest and pleasure in usual activities (anadonia) Shift in activity level (lethargic (loss of motivation, don"t want to get out of bed) Poor appetite and weight loss / increase appetite and weight gain. Complaints or evidence of difficulty in concentrating (slowing thinking or indecisiveness)
