Note that the course runs from 12pm-3pm on fridays. All that we perceive is the indirect shadow of reality. Our conception of reality is critically dependent on info gathered through our senses. Perception & your sense of reality are the products of evolution: survival instinct. Type of energy in environment determines which sense have developed: we sense touch because it has proven useful to our survival. Lost the ability to sense irrelevant, insufficient aspects of reality. Some animals can sense stimuli that we can"t: ex. Bees - ultraviolet light; sense of smell is better than humans: ex. Snakes infrared light through orifices below eyes: ex. Dogs strong hearing and smell: ex. Some birds better colour vision, sharpness vision, some have night vision, sense magnetic fields through cells in their retinas: ex. Had eye cancer, and lost his sight at age 2. He uses echolocation through clicks to sense the space he is in.
