Document Summary
Whether or not pay attention determines what you perceive in the world. May or may not pay attention to things. Low levels of arousal could be falling asleep in a lecture. Could use attention to put things in order to overcome bottlenecks but it may not help us. Tells us that certain things are more important than others. Can measure reaction time to know how much a person is paying attention to something. If pay attention to something, these thresholds can change. Can measure attention by where people are looking at. But it may not be the place that are paying attention to.
