Vision and attention are not the same thing. What"s goi(cid:374)g o(cid:374) i(cid:374) the (cid:271)rai(cid:374) that u(cid:374)derlie atte(cid:374)tio(cid:374). Left side of the (cid:271)rai(cid:374) is (cid:373)ore i(cid:373)porta(cid:374)t for language. the right hemisphere contributes too, just not to the same degree. Attention is the same, controlled by both hemispheres, but right side is a little more important. Attentional impairments always more severe and profound with damage to the right hemisphere. If you believe that, if you disrupt the right hemisphere, there could be a wide variety of reasons why this network is impaired. It is hard to communicate what having this condition feels like. Suppose you have damaged right side of your brain (most commonly stroke but could be other things as well).
