Between more adaptive for pepper moth to be black later. B/c of industrialization, the trees were now black: emotional expressions are adaptations. They"re naturally selected for they are actions that helped our ancestors survive. Fear, eyes widen --> see more around you. Disgust, crinkled face --> closing nostrils passage, so pathogens can"t enter they coincided with emotions our ancestors felt. Argued that we don"t need these facial expressions anymore.
