Capsule form/protective coating are designed to desolve just enough so drug gets all the way to intestine (if coating is not there and drug itself is ingested then probably will be broken down before getting to small intestine. Spinchter to small intestine closes for stomach to break down food; eating would delay effect of drug. Vaccine going into arm/ass; inhalation (contact through lungs) - most of drug is going through pulm. syst. : avail. of drug at intended site of action. If more likely to cross b-b properties would include: more fat-soluable, small and uncharged. Nonspecific binding: drugs attaching to other things that has it"s receptor versus the intended receptor (s) *purpose of dev. drugs is to make them same as or better than whatever is on the market.
