However, each source by itself is of limited value and incomplete. Self-report data (s-data) : information that a person reveals. People amy not provide accurate info about themselves. Obtained through interviews, periodic reports, and questionnaires. Individuals have best access to info about themselves. Feelings, emotions, desires, beliefs, and private experiences. Report on their self-esteem and their perceptions of how others esteem them. Structured personality questionnaires response options are provided. Trait-descriptive adjectives that individuals are asked if they describe them. Likert rating scale: way for someone to express with numbers the degree to which a trait describes him/her. Self-report questionnaires in the form of statements. Example: i enjoy social gatherings just to be with people.
