PSYB45 Lecture 8 Target behaviour can be anything like getting a dog to walk in a circle Eg beginning behaviour is dog just watching owner o Final behaviour would be dog spinning around in a circle So shaping involves successive steps logically that will get to target behaviour Eg dog o First step is looking at owner o Second step would be to get the dog to come towards you o Third step would be to orient his head in the way you want him to spin but dont physically move it yourself because then animal doesnt have full control o Fourth step would be at different places in the circle you award them a treat then once do full circle then stop rewarding eg at first step in circle and instead reward
