Document Summary

Psyb57h3 final exam review: representation for the mental process of priming. For example, when someone says the word doctor, you process the word hospital faster. Having read a list of words beforehand makes it easier to complete the word stem completion task, when the words you read beforehand are similar and can help you complete the task. Pri__: people complete the primed possibilities much faster than the conditions in which they were not primed, another example of this task is called a word fragment completion task, where you alternate letters in a word. The words that you were primed for are more likely to be placed into the blanks to match the possibility. When you are primed with seeing structurally possible objects it helps you process other structurally possible objects faster that you haven"t seen before. Being primed with the impossible objects does not prime you at all.
