Stimulus and response, and variables that came inbetween. A russian: thought introspective analysis had led nowhere. Study of psychology should involve objective methods of physiology only: thoughts don"t cause behaviour: external stimulation does. Consciousness exists, but should be explained in terms of physiological processes triggered by external events.
