Document Summary

A lot of what happens in society is circular meaning it tends to happen over and over again because we don"t tackle the root of the problem. It makes us think about all the little things we do in our daily lives and of how they relate to power relations. To think about power on the way it circulates across different individuals, institutions, places, etc. and to track it in the big places it operates but also the minute ways power is operating. Power relations lead to social inequality/inequity and lead to certain manifestations of hierarchies of power, differentials of power relations. What"s in the center is normality and outside of it is abnormal. We can understand what and how it became normal or abnormal. There were certain practices deemed as normal and certain practices deemed as abnormal. What"s in the center is privilege and outside of it is marginal.
