Nature of sociology (cool fact: comte invented the term sociology ) Sociology is different than the rest; it"s not about physical or biological structure of the world. Focus on the laws that govern human interaction which will tell us what"s possible, what we can change (or not). We can use this knowledge to direct our actions. There is pure science and applied science in all of these. Sociology is important because you need the education and the working with one another aspects in order to do the other sciences. We need a positive/ scientific study of society. There are 3 different ways to answer the question why does this happen? . This is what god wants, god wills it. It varies with the level of social evolution. Crusade; in rome or greece, war cures boredom of the gods prone to illness. Human nature includes our love to fight/argue; we are aggressive.
