Solidarity is the creation of community, and togetherness. You must have another indication to reveal the sign and level of solidarity and changes in solidarity in the society. The indicator of solidarity will be the law - emile discusses. Durkheim discusses about how there are different types of law. Justice & pain (penal law), and laws oriented to make people whole. (returning the world to back to how it was). Mechanical solidarity - how the system generates it. The law provides the index of how solidarity is seen in a society. How and why penal law is related to mechanical solidarity. The law is created to show how those who defy against the law, it is an offence to the collective conscience. Acts that offend the well-defined state of the cc, just because we share them, it is a crime against the sensibility to the society.
