Consensus model where we are all on the same path, same goals. Cleavage model the worker and managerial system as wanting different thing. Fragmentation management and workers thoughts/beliefs align sometimes and sometimes do not. Mass culture theory media is implanting ideas into our minds, consumers as victims. Without a shared meaning system, we cannot go anywhere, because society is filled with meaning: reflection theory and meaning: The base creates the superstructure which then reflects back down onto the base. Mar(cid:454)ist"s o(cid:271)ser(cid:448)atio(cid:374) is that the superstru(cid:272)ture ((cid:448)alues, a(cid:374)d culture) that matter keep changing and reflect the base. In marxist view the superstructure is controlled by elites. Culture and values as a reflection, an explanation to why it is called reflection theory.
