This will not be on the mid-term. The reason these are here is b/c the old textbook covered them. Then, get a correlation for each of these subgroups, and compare it to the correlation retrieved from all the cars (no exclusions when it comes to mpg) => we are dividing the whole data into 2 groups, and finding a sep. line for each one. Recall: a correlation that is more closer to -1. 0 is more better. => the correlation of the entire data set was better than that retrieved from restricting data.
