Regular, craftsmen people lived here; people of business of war & trade. 2-3 houses on stage, rival families, respected families vs brothels, etc. People lived very close to each other so the comedy on stage makes sense due to the drama that probably took place in the actual streets. Town hall: centre of the village; political centre of town. Teatro: right behind the hall: smaller, intimate space, scanae is quite built-up, heavy backdrops, seats more than a couple of thousands of people, 3 pillars at the back of the stage. Masks used in this theatre even though they weren"t needed for projection since the stage is smaller. Theatre in rome was prohibited for a while.
