Liberal feminists complain that women are stuck in the roles of mother and wife, with all other roles or interests having to take a backseat: if, however, they do wish to make their mark in politics and arts, they"re under suspicion unless they"re good wives and mothers as well, men also devaluate women by claiming them as not that bright, clothes conscious, and overemotional when, in actuality, women were taught to behave in this way if they"re to have husbands. Liberal feminists accepts and works under the gendered social order, with the goal of purging it of its gender inequalities and discriminatory effects on women: today, this goal is termed as undoing gender reversing and counteracting the effects of gender discrimination, a parallel and current goal is gender mainstreaming ensuring that government laws and organizational policies don"t adversely affect women and do address women"s needs.
